EHS OFFICER

The EHS Officer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines across the site or organization. This role involves conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, processing required permits and fostering a strong safety culture among all employees and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor company safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local and national regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments on site to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective/preventive measures.
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure readiness of emergency equipment.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, reports, permits, and documentation as required.
  • Act as liaison with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders on all EHS matters.
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., BOSH, OSHA, etc.)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in EHS roles\
  • Must be DENR-accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO)
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in incident investigation techniques, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  • Ability to work on-site (manufacturing)
