Product/Process Engineer
Overview
- Complies with all PHMI Quality System procedures, Work Instructions and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Communicates with the Project Manager for the development of a new product.
- Develops assembly processes of new products on all areas of the Production.
- Generates assembly Process Flows and Work Instructions for new projects/product as assigned.
- Updates assembly Process Flows and Work Instructions based on released ECOs. PMD-JO, line balancing and process improvements.
- Coordinates with Project Manager for product changes
- Validates developed processes and recommend process improvements.
- Familiarizes/orients Production and QA personnel on the assembly processes of new products and/or revised assembly processes of existing products.
- Prepares Qualification Report for new product and consumable materials.
- Works with PCD and Project Manager for the quotation of new and/or potential new products.
- Conducts Failure Analysis on the top three rejects being encountered by production line.
- Conducts evaluations as may be assigned by the Project Manager.
- Spearheads the generation and the re-evaluation activities of HPRRs (FMEA) for medical device products.
- Conducts Plant Visit on suppliers that are for qualification upon providing sample parts of new products.
- Conducts visit to PCBA sub-contractor/parts vendor while PCB assembly or parts fabrication is on-going when necessary.
- Ensures the completion of parts on the production floor prior to commencement of the Pilot Run.
- Makes suggestions for improvement to PHMI Quality system or operating procedures in constructive manner (when appropriate)
- Involves in the analysis or troubleshooting of products for repair that are causing difficulty to repair technicians.
- Performs other related job as assigned.
