Stepping away from the usual office environment and spending meaningful time with colleagues outside of work is truly special. For PHMI, our team building trip to Baguio City last April 17–19, 2026 was more than just a team building—it was an opportunity to strengthen relationships, create unforgettable memories, and recharge together as one team.
From scenic mountain views and cultural landmarks to laughter-filled activities and shared meals, our Baguio adventure became a perfect reminder that strong teamwork is built not only inside the workplace, but also through experiences shared beyond it.
Arrival at Camp John Hay
Our first stop upon arrival was Camp John Hay, one of Baguio’s most iconic destinations. Surrounded by lush pine forests and peaceful landscapes, the area provided the perfect introduction to the beauty of the city.
Walking through Camp John Hay felt both calm and refreshing. The cool breeze and quiet environment allowed everyone to relax after the long travel. One of the most energetic and exciting moments during our visit was the group Zumba session held at Camp John Hay. With the cool Baguio weather and scenic surroundings, the activity became even more enjoyable for everyone. Team members enthusiastically participated, dancing, laughing, and moving together to upbeat music.

Exploring the Philippine Military Academy (PMA)
After Camp John Hay, the team headed to the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), one of the country’s most respected institutions. The visit to PMA was both educational and inspiring. As we explored the grounds, we admired the discipline, history, and values represented by the academy. We were fascinated by the historical displays and military equipment around the academy. Walking through the grounds gave everyone a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices and commitment of the country’s military leaders.
The stop became more than just a sightseeing destination; it served as a reminder that great teams are built through trust, commitment, and unity.

Scenic Views at Mines View Park, Wright Park and The Mansion
As soon as we arrived, everyone was greeted by breathtaking mountain views and the cool breeze that Baguio is famous for. The panoramic scenery overlooking Benguet’s mining towns immediately captured everyone’s attention.
The team enjoyed strolling around the park, buying souvenirs, trying local snacks, and taking countless group photos. Laughter echoed throughout the area as everyone enjoyed candid moments together.
Mines View Park also gave us the chance to appreciate the natural beauty of the Cordillera region. Looking at the endless mountain ranges reminded us how refreshing it is to temporarily disconnect from the busy pace of city life.

Team Building Activity at 456 Hotel
After a full day of sightseeing, everyone gathered with excitement for an evening filled with interactive activities designed to strengthen teamwork and collaboration. The activities encouraged communication, trust, problem-solving, and cooperation among employees. What made the experience especially meaningful was seeing everyone participate enthusiastically. The activities broke down barriers and encouraged stronger connections among colleagues. The room was filled with cheers, laughter, encouragement, and friendly competition.
Five groups competed in acting scenarios that challenged their creativity, coordination, and ability to work together under pressure. Each team acted out the situations given to them with enthusiasm and teamwork, making the activities both entertaining and meaningful. After a series of engaging performances and challenges, the Red Team emerged as the overall winner, showcasing excellent cooperation, communication, and team spirit throughout the activity.
More importantly, the activity reminded us that success in the workplace depends greatly on collaboration and mutual support. When people communicate openly and trust one another, achieving goals becomes much easier and more fulfilling.

Visit to Bell Church
The cool Baguio morning provided the perfect start for the next day as the team prepared to visit more iconic destinations before heading back home.
Bell Church is one of Baguio’s beautiful and culturally significant landmarks. The vibrant architecture, colorful details, and serene surroundings immediately stood out upon arrival. The peaceful atmosphere offered a different experience compared to the busy tourist spots visited the previous day. The visit allowed everyone to experience another side of Baguio’s rich cultural diversity.

Final Stop at La Trinidad Strawberry Farm
The last destination of our team building adventure was the famous La Trinidad Strawberry Farm. Excitement filled the group as everyone explored the fields and enjoyed the fresh mountain atmosphere. Team members enjoyed buying fresh strawberries, local products, and souvenirs to bring home.
The visit to La Trinidad added a fun and wholesome ending to the trip. It was simple yet memorable—a chance to enjoy nature, appreciate local agriculture, and spend more quality time together before returning to Laguna.

More Than Just a Company Trip
The PHMI team building in Baguio City was more than a travel experience. It became a celebration of teamwork, friendship, and shared growth. Every destination offered a unique experience, while every activity brought the team closer together. From the scenic beauty of Camp John Hay and Mines View Park to the meaningful knowledge at PMA, the peaceful atmosphere of Bell Church, and the fun moments at La Trinidad Strawberry Farm, every stop contributed to an unforgettable journey.
Most importantly, the team building activity at 456 Hotel reminded us that great organizations are built by people who support, encourage, and grow with one another. As the trip came to an end, everyone returned home carrying not only souvenirs and photographs, but also stronger connections and wonderful memories.
The Baguio City team building experience became a valuable reminder that investing in people is one of the best ways to strengthen an organization. When employees feel connected, appreciated, and united, teamwork naturally becomes stronger.
The success of this year’s Baguio Team Building reflects the very foundation of who we are as one team. Through every activity, shared experience, and challenge overcome together, we strengthened the core values that define our organization — Productivity in working toward common goals, Integrity in building trust and accountability, Value in appreciating every individual contribution, Optimization in continuously finding better ways to collaborate and perform, and Tenacity in pushing forward with resilience and determination. More than just a getaway, this experience served as a reminder that our greatest strength lies in our unity, shared purpose, and commitment to excellence as one organization.
Moving forward, we will continue to grow and thrive not only as an organization, but also as a team that embraces collaboration, diversity, and meaningful experiences together.
